EasyClosets® is pleased to announce new storage and organization systems for the family garage – making this often overlooked space work harder for everyone who uses it. The new products provide smart, attractive ways to organize gear for sports, hobbies, and yard work, and an online tool helps homeowners design custom solutions they can easily install themselves.

A natural transition between inside and outside areas, the garage is the logical place to store tools, equipment, and out-of-season items that would otherwise take up room inside the home. However, with so much to hold and family members coming and going all the time, the challenge is to keep this space neat and well-organized.
In response to these challenges, EasyClosets created solutions that keep the garage in order, improve its appearance, and make it easy for family members to find or put away the things they need. “Transforming the garage into a hardworking, multipurpose space can actually empower a family’s active lifestyle,” said Bobbie Locke, director of marketing and communications for The Stow Company.
Because every family’s needs are unique, EasyClosets garage products are designed for personalization. Homeowners can choose from cabinets, shelves, drawers, work surfaces, and clever accessories. Cabinets are available in several depth and height options, and can even be customized to meet a variety of width requirements. To maximize space, EasyClosets also offers slatwall panels to hold hooks, racks, and baskets. These organizers can be easily moved or rearranged to meet a family’s changing needs.
A step up from the industrial look of garage organizers found in typical home stores, EasyClosets solutions come in seven on-trend colors and stylish hardware that coordinate with today’s homes. Designed and engineered especially for the garage environment, the solutions feature heavy-duty cabinets with integrated full back panels, one-inch thick sturdy shelves, and doors with wide-opening Euro-style hinges. While the cabinets are designed to be hung on the wall for easy cleaning below, legs can also be added for additional support or style.
The intuitive online design tool makes space planning quick and easy for homeowners. Complimentary design service is also available, allowing customers to have an EasyClosets expert review their plan or create it for them. The solutions are made specifically for do-it-yourself installation. Components are cut to order and shipped with a complete set of hardware and detailed instructions to make home assembly successful – even for those without remodeling experience. “We’re committed to making the process easy for homeowners to create the perfect garage system for their specific needs,” said Locke.
Locke added, “Consumer demand continues to grow in the home and garage organization industry, especially in e-commerce. It’s an ideal time to introduce our new garage product line to the DIY market, and we’re so pleased to help consumers organize this important area of the home.”
Design Tips
Make the most of the family garage in 6 easy steps
Improving a garage doesn’t take a lot of time or remodeling experience, but it does involve a little planning to make the space work efficiently. EasyClosets recommends using the zone approach to get the most out of every inch.
- Establish the transition area – the space that’s reserved for hanging coats, storing shoes and boots, and setting down packages, groceries, or mail when you’re opening the door.
- Next, determine a need-it-now area for quick and easy access to things like dog food and leashes, water bottles and other beverages, or recycling bins.
- Decide which area is best for long, thin yard and maintenance tools like shovels, rakes and clippers.
- Identify elevation zones, creating a storage area for large items that may be stored out of the way for months at a time, such as coolers, camping gear and holiday decorations. Reserve lower, easy-to-reach areas for the kids to keep their sports equipment.
- Plan an area for frequently used items such as active gear, outdoor games and cleaning supplies.
- Stake out a workspace for hobbies and interests. From gardening to fishing, woodworking, or automotive work, designate a space to organize tools and supplies needed to work on these projects.
The design guide featured in EasyClosets’ online design tool provides ideas for six different garage zones. Used as thought starters, these ideas demonstrate how to accommodate the types of items that would typically be stored in these areas. Using the design tool, it’s simple to add, rearrange, and modify the design to work with any space, style and budget.

EasyClosets®, a leading online home storage solutions provider, announces the arrival of four new on-trend colors that add a sophisticated flair to any room in the home. Created in response to consumer demand, the four new tones include Chateau, Cocoa, Driftwood, and French Roast.

- Chateau’s warm taupe hue combines the look of weathered hardwood, light cathedral wood grain patterns, and a smooth-to-the-touch finish.
- Cocoa blends medium brown and milk chocolate colors, bold linear grain pattern, and a detailed wood grain texture to give you a refined, modern aesthetic.
- Driftwood delivers a natural, weather-worn look with earthy greyish-brown tones, a clean linear grain pattern, and a unique wood grain texture.
- French Roast, the darkest brown color EasyClosets offers, mixes dark brown and dark chocolate tones with detailed wood grain texture.
“We identified a growing demand in the DIY home organization market for products that look more like real wood, with all of its natural characteristics. Several of our new colors address this trend by integrating a detailed wood grain texture you can actually see and feel,” said Bobbie Locke, director of marketing and communications for The Stow Company, the parent company of EasyClosets brand.
"We’re proud to be one of the first companies to offer textured finishes combined with trendier colors to the online DIY closet and home organization market,” said Locke. Because smooth finishes, solid colors like white and ivory, and traditional wood grains such as cherry and maple are expected to remain popular, EasyClosets will continue to provide these standard colors as well.
Color trends among consumers are always evolving, but market analysis shows that light neutrals with grey values, true browns, and grey browns continue to rise in popularity. EasyClosets latest color additions meet these demands while allowing homeowners to express themselves throughout traditional, modern or transitional spaces in their homes.
Now with 11 total color options, custom sizing, and a wide selection of accessories, EasyClosets makes it easier than ever to design a custom organization solution that suits any homeowner’s personal style and space. The intuitive online design tool enables fast and simple space planning, and professional designers are on staff to provide suggestions or create a custom design at no charge.
