EasyClosets®, a leading online home organization solutions provider, joined Lin’s Linens to provide a bedroom makeover for a college student coping with cancer. Through their collaboration and support from other local companies, the bedroom was transformed into a peaceful, organized oasis designed to provide a calm and relaxing environment.

Lin’s Linens , a non-profit organization based in New Jersey, helps women diagnosed with cancer by creating nurturing environments where they can heal. The organization’s mission is to support women going through cancer treatment by providing a comforting retreat where they can rest after surgery, radiation and chemotherapy. EasyClosets’ support included donating a custom bookshelf storage system that surrounds the bed for a 21-year-old college student battling Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. Employee volunteers donated their time to design and build an organization system that was completely customized for the space and her personal needs.

As a part of The Stow Company, EasyClosets participates in an annual corporate-wide initiative called the Stow Difference program. The program empowers employee teams representing each department to give a boost to causes that benefit the local community. The Stow Difference teams select charitable causes, then participate as hands-on volunteers to fund and implement projects that make a positive difference in the lives of those in need.

“We are committed to giving back in our local communities of Pine Brook, N.J. and Holland, Mich. Our Stow Difference Program presents our employees with an opportunity to contribute to worthy causes with their time and talents,” said Bobbie Locke, director of marketing and communications for The Stow Company, the parent company of EasyClosets.

“It’s an honor to be a part of the Stow Difference projects and to help those who need the peace and comfort that an organized room can provide,” said Mikey Masciarelli, designer for EasyClosets. Masciarelli worked with Lin’s Linens’ volunteer Kelli Chitti, owner of Interiors by Kelli design studio, to bring her vision for the space to life. “We designed the solution to include an open bridge above the bed, and side towers with adjustable shelving and drawers, creating built-in night stands on both sides of the bed,” said Masciarelli. EasyClosets’ intuitive online design tool, fast, one-day manufacturing and easy installation enabled the project to be completed in only a few days.

The popular primetime program, Blog Cabin, is an interactive homebuilding television series that invites viewers and fans to help design the cabin and inform the renovation, then enter for a chance to win the remodeled and fully furnished home. As a proud sponsor of Blog Cabin 2013, EasyClosets contributed to the spectacular renovation with custom organization systems installed in the master closet and laundry room.

DIY Network Blog Cabin

Circa 1800s, the historic waterfront cottage, once a one-room cabin, has undergone a complete renovation. With Blog Cabin’s tight storage spaces, smart organization was essential to maximize every square inch. Because EasyClosets’ home organization systems are completely customizable, they offered the perfect solution for the reach-in master closet and laundry room.

During the design and selection process, the style and color of the organization products played as important a role as function and customization. EasyClosets’ new on-trend colors, Driftwood and Chateau, were chosen because of their ability to blend beautifully with the home’s coastal cool décor theme and its neutral color palette.

EasyClosets organization makeovers will be featured in three of DIY Network’s Blog Cabin episodes. To see the laundry room remodel, viewers can tune into Kitchen Crashers on August 5 at 9:00 p.m. ET. EasyClosets ® is expanding its line of home organization solutions with a stylish new line of freestanding media centers that can be extensively customized and are made to order in just one day.

Media Center

For many homeowners, the limited sizes, styles, and colors of ready-made media storage furniture fail to fit their homes, collections, or lifestyles perfectly. However, because EasyClosets media centers are designed for individual customization, they’re changing the game for home entertainment. Featuring custom sizing, a wide range of styles and colors to fit every décor, and a plethora of configuration options, EasyClosets offers homeowners a personalized approach to designing a media center that is uniquely their own. There are countless ways to incorporate a homeowner’s personal design preferences into an entertaining hub that will transform their family room, den, recreation room, or home theater into a stylish and much more functional part of their home.

"Our goal at EasyClosets is to design and manufacture innovative solutions that are simple to design and assemble, can be delivered quickly, and solve organization challenges for our customers in every area of their homes," remarked Bobbie Locke, director of marketing and communications for The Stow Company, the parent company of EasyClosets brand. “We’re very excited to bring homeowners a ground-breaking DIY solution that gives them exactly what they need without the wait, and we expect this solution to set a new standard in the media storage market.”

With a selection of open shelving, towers with doors and drawers, bridges and TV consoles, EasyClosets media centers provide smart ways to organize and display flat-panel TVs, gaming consoles, audio electronics, books, and other entertainment accessories. Even messy wires and cables from electronic devices can be stowed out of sight with EasyClosets’ integrated wire management system. Hidden passageways behind shelves keep cables and power cords tucked away, while extra space behind and beneath the drawers holds cables, power strips, and routers.

Homeowners can select not only the size and type of components, but also the style that best fits their home.  The media centers are available in Contemporary, Transitional and Traditional styles to match the three most predominant trends in home décor today.

Contemporary - Clean lines, streamlined design and a bold, two-tone palette embrace the luxurious, livable character of EasyClosets’ Contemporary collection.

Transitional - The timeless design and two-tone color combination of the EasyClosets Transitional collection fits into a variety of décor styles with ease, creating a seamless and refined aesthetic.

Traditional - An uncommon attention to detail gives EasyClosets Traditional collection its enduring charm. Curved valances, fluted vertical edges, and raised panel drawer and door fronts add a welcoming, finely crafted look.

The Contemporary and Transitional collections also feature a new design element: the bold, long lines of innovative Forterra® engineered structured panels. Both stylish and functional, these panels provide a secondary accent color with two-inch thick shelves that can span up to 65” long.

An intuitive online tool helps homeowners design custom solutions they can easily assemble themselves.  Visitors can choose from one of the many configuration options suggested by the EasyClosets design tool, and then add, rearrange, and modify the design to their heart’s content.  Individual or multiple storage units can be purchased, creating a configuration that fits each customers space and storage needs.

With EasyClosets fast, one-day manufacturing lead time, customers don’t need to wait for their dream media center. When orders are received by 6:00 pm ET, the media centers are custom made and then shipped the next business day. Shipping is free within the contiguous U.S.

Easy Track™ announced today that its closet organizing system has been named a Consumers Digest Best Buy. Easy Track’s 4’ to 8’ Basic Starter kit was selected as the best midrange buy in wood/laminated wood closet storage kits. Best Buys for closet systems are judged on functionality, durability, adaptability, and aesthetics. This is the second time Easy Track has been named a Consumers Digest Best Buy, the first being in 2009.

According to the recent Consumers Digest Magazine, Easy Track was selected because of its ability to hold 1,200 pounds over an 8-foot span, which is more than similarly priced competitor closet systems, and because it is the only midrange system to include a lifetime limited warranty. The publication also noted the product’s environmentally conscious features, such as its 100 percent recycled/recovered wood fiber core as being “unique among the market.”

“We’re very pleased to have a trusted national consumer publication like Consumers Digest again recognize our commitment to consumer lifetime value,” said Bobbie Locke, Director of Marketing and Communications for Easy Track’s parent company, The Stow Company. “The durability and easy-to-assemble convenience of Easy Track ready-made storage and organization kits have received great retail response.”

Easy Track closet organizers are based on starter kits that can be used alone or combined with other kits and components to create the ideal space for homeowners. A prominent characteristic of Easy Track’s closet organizing systems is the ease of installation. Simply attach the unique steel rail to the wall, and then hang the panels, and add shelves, hanging rods, drawers, baskets and accessories. Because Easy Track is designed for flexibility, it is simple to make adjustments and add components as homeowners’ storage needs change.

About Easy Track

Part of The Stow Company since 1989, the Easy Track brand offers high-quality, easy-to-assemble closet organizer kits in Cherry, Truffle, and White. With numerous configurations to fit closet spaces ranging from two to eleven feet wide, Easy Track storage systems provide smart organization for small and mid-size reach-in closets to large walk-in closets. EasyClosets® is pleased to announce new storage and organization systems for the family garage – making this often overlooked space work harder for everyone who uses it. The new products provide smart, attractive ways to organize gear for sports, hobbies, and yard work, and an online tool helps homeowners design custom solutions they can easily install themselves.

Family Garage

A natural transition between inside and outside areas, the garage is the logical place to store tools, equipment, and out-of-season items that would otherwise take up room inside the home. However, with so much to hold and family members coming and going all the time, the challenge is to keep this space neat and well-organized.

In response to these challenges, EasyClosets created solutions that keep the garage in order, improve its appearance, and make it easy for family members to find or put away the things they need. “Transforming the garage into a hardworking, multipurpose space can actually empower a family’s active lifestyle,” said Bobbie Locke, director of marketing and communications for The Stow Company.

Because every family’s needs are unique, EasyClosets garage products are designed for personalization. Homeowners can choose from cabinets, shelves, drawers, work surfaces, and clever accessories. Cabinets are available in several depth and height options, and can even be customized to meet a variety of width requirements. To maximize space, EasyClosets also offers slatwall panels to hold hooks, racks, and baskets. These organizers can be easily moved or rearranged to meet a family’s changing needs.

A step up from the industrial look of garage organizers found in typical home stores, EasyClosets solutions come in seven on-trend colors and stylish hardware that coordinate with today’s homes. Designed and engineered especially for the garage environment, the solutions feature heavy-duty cabinets with integrated full back panels, one-inch thick sturdy shelves, and doors with wide-opening Euro-style hinges. While the cabinets are designed to be hung on the wall for easy cleaning below, legs can also be added for additional support or style.

The intuitive online design tool makes space planning quick and easy for homeowners. Complimentary design service is also available, allowing customers to have an EasyClosets expert review their plan or create it for them. The solutions are made specifically for do-it-yourself installation. Components are cut to order and shipped with a complete set of hardware and detailed instructions to make home assembly successful – even for those without remodeling experience. “We’re committed to making the process easy for homeowners to create the perfect garage system for their specific needs,” said Locke.

Locke added, “Consumer demand continues to grow in the home and garage organization industry, especially in e-commerce. It’s an ideal time to introduce our new garage product line to the DIY market, and we’re so pleased to help consumers organize this important area of the home.”

Design Tips

Make the most of the family garage in 6 easy steps

Improving a garage doesn’t take a lot of time or remodeling experience, but it does involve a little planning to make the space work efficiently. EasyClosets recommends using the zone approach to get the most out of every inch.

  1. Establish the transition area – the space that’s reserved for hanging coats, storing shoes and boots, and setting down packages, groceries, or mail when you’re opening the door.
  2. Next, determine a need-it-now area for quick and easy access to things like dog food and leashes, water bottles and other beverages, or recycling bins.
  3. Decide which area is best for long, thin yard and maintenance tools like shovels, rakes and clippers.
  4. Identify elevation zones, creating a storage area for large items that may be stored out of the way for months at a time, such as coolers, camping gear and holiday decorations. Reserve lower, easy-to-reach areas for the kids to keep their sports equipment.
  5. Plan an area for frequently used items such as active gear, outdoor games and cleaning supplies.
  6. Stake out a workspace for hobbies and interests. From gardening to fishing, woodworking, or automotive work, designate a space to organize tools and supplies needed to work on these projects.

The design guide featured in EasyClosets’ online design tool provides ideas for six different garage zones. Used as thought starters, these ideas demonstrate how to accommodate the types of items that would typically be stored in these areas. Using the design tool, it’s simple to add, rearrange, and modify the design to work with any space, style and budget.

EasyClosets®, a leading online home storage solutions provider, announces the arrival of four new on-trend colors that add a sophisticated flair to any room in the home. Created in response to consumer demand, the four new tones include Chateau, Cocoa, Driftwood, and French Roast.

Driftwood Pantry
  • Chateau’s warm taupe hue combines the look of weathered hardwood, light cathedral wood grain patterns, and a smooth-to-the-touch finish.

  • Cocoa blends medium brown and milk chocolate colors, bold linear grain pattern, and a detailed wood grain texture to give you a refined, modern aesthetic.

  • Driftwood delivers a natural, weather-worn look with earthy greyish-brown tones, a clean linear grain pattern, and a unique wood grain texture.

  • French Roast, the darkest brown color EasyClosets offers, mixes dark brown and dark chocolate tones with detailed wood grain texture.

“We identified a growing demand in the DIY home organization market for products that look more like real wood, with all of its natural characteristics. Several of our new colors address this trend by integrating a detailed wood grain texture you can actually see and feel,” said Bobbie Locke, director of marketing and communications for The Stow Company, the parent company of EasyClosets brand.

"We’re proud to be one of the first companies to offer textured finishes combined with trendier colors to the online DIY closet and home organization market,” said Locke. Because smooth finishes, solid colors like white and ivory, and traditional wood grains such as cherry and maple are expected to remain popular, EasyClosets will continue to provide these standard colors as well.

Color trends among consumers are always evolving, but market analysis shows that light neutrals with grey values, true browns, and grey browns continue to rise in popularity.  EasyClosets latest color additions meet these demands while allowing homeowners to express themselves throughout traditional, modern or transitional spaces in their homes.

Now with 11 total color options, custom sizing, and a wide selection of accessories, EasyClosets makes it easier than ever to design a custom organization solution that suits any homeowner’s personal style and space. The intuitive online design tool enables fast and simple space planning, and professional designers are on staff to provide suggestions or create a custom design at no charge.
