The Organized Give is a campaign that helps others by giving storage solutions to those in need. In addition, we provide a donation for a good cause. We kicked off the campaign in January 2012 by making a difference in the life of Anissa Mayhew and her family. Anissa had suffered multiple strokes leaving her wheelchair-bound and facing challenges that made every day a struggle. Because many of the spaces in her home were not designed for a wheelchair, simple tasks like putting away clothes, food and household items was problematic. We were delighted to provide a new custom closet and storage shelving for her bedroom, and a new functional kitchen pantry – all personalized for her needs. The Stow Company installed her new home organization solutions the first week of January with help from our local ORG Dealer, SpaceMakers.

Learn about Anissa's story and see before and after footage of her space in her interviews with Molly Gold of GO MOM!, Inc.

But that’s not where it ended. We wanted to keep the giving going and include our online community. By Liking The Stow Company Facebook page, you helped support The Organized Give and raise $700 for Anissa’s selected non-profit organization, Violence UnSilenced. Anissa serves on the board of Violence UnSilenced, an organization that created a special website in 2009 that offers resources and voice to survivors of domestic violence, sexual abuse and sexual assault. Statistics reveal that nearly one-third of American women report being physically or sexually abused by a husband or boyfriend at some point in their lives. Are you or someone you know experiencing physical or sexual abuse? Check out Violence UnSilenced’s resources page.

Thanks for coming together to support this campaign!
