The Organized Give is a campaign that helps others by giving storage solutions to those in need. In addition, we provide a donation for a good cause. We kicked off the campaign in January 2012 by making a difference in the life of Anissa Mayhew and her family.

In March, we brought The Organized Give back to our neck of the woods – West Michigan – to help Kids’ Food Basket, a local non-profit organization that works tirelessly in the attack against childhood hunger.

Did you know one in four Michigan children goes hungry every day? Over 27% of kids in Grand Rapids, Michigan are food insecure and Kids’ Food Basket is on a mission to change that. They provide nutritional meals to over 4,800 kids each day. These meals, known as “sack suppers,” are given to kids at school to ensure lunch is not their last meal of the day and that they receive adequate nutrition for proper brain development. With the help of over 170 volunteers each day, these meals are packaged and delivered directly to 32 schools in Kent County. The organization serves schools in which 80% or more of students live at or below the poverty line.

On March 16, 2012 we installed new ORG Home organization systems at the Kid’s Food Basket facility with the help from team members at The Stow Company and ORG West Michigan. The ORG Home storage systems provided organization for items that are accessed on a daily basis, making the sack supper production process more efficient.
